DOWA ECO-SYSTEM Co., Ltd. (DES) has started a demonstration experiment of a power generation business that utilizes reused PV modules in Fukushima Prefecture, aiming to establish a one-stop service system from PV module removal to reuse and recycling.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Under this project, DES\u2019s subsidiary GEOTECHNOS is responsible for the removal, collection, and transportation of used PV modules. The goal is to ensure safe and efficient handling of end-of-life solar panels while supporting circular economy practices in the renewable energy sector. In addition, Soso Smart Eco-Company, a new venture established with investment from eight companies including DOWA ECO-SYSTEM, plays a key role in evaluating the potential for module reuse. The company inspects used PV modules sourced through multiple procurement channels to determine their suitability for reuse in power generation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Through this demonstration experiment, DES seeks to build a sustainable business model that reduces waste, maximizes the value of existing solar assets, and promotes resource efficiency in Japan\u2019s growing renewable energy
