This measure follows cases where projects failed to proceed because the required grid construction cost contributions exceeded initial expectations.\u00a0In addition, when operators apply for grid connection studies, utilities will present information such as the availability of upstream grid reinforcement capacity and the upper limit of construction cost contributions. If the project conditions do not meet these requirements, a mechanism will allow utilities to provide an early response during the study process, preventing unnecessary reservations of grid capacity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A similar operational framework will also be introduced from April 2026 for high-voltage facilities connecting to distribution networks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"background: #f5deb3;padding: 10px;border: 2px#3399cc;border-radius: 5px\">\n<p><strong><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em\">&lt;Key points&gt;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) proposed operational changes that will lead to accelerate connection assessment<\/li>\n<li>When applying for connection assessment, applicants present the following: 1) whether it is acceptable to enhance the upper grid, and 2) the maximum amount of the construction cost contribution.
