Gunma Prefecture is accepting applications from April 5, 2023 for the joint purchase of solar power generation system with an output of 10 kW or more and storage batteries targeting companies with factories and offices in the prefecture.

The project started on April 5, 2023, and the support businesses that have signed an agreement with the prefectural government will solicit applicants to purchase solar panels and storage batteries, and place a lump-sum order with construction companies. The initial cost of the installation will be reduced by placing bulk order with the installer.

Gunma Municipal Government also revealed that it will additionally accept applications from April 29 through the end of June for the “Electricity Price Soaring Countermeasures and Renewable Energy Introduction Support Project”, which subsidizes part of the cost of installing the PV system and storage batteries.

Gunma Prefecture launched an initiative last September to promote a joint purchase plan to install solar panels and storage batteries for homes, and conducted a second round of applications from February 22 to March 8, 2023.
