19 Approved projects to subsidize new and renewable energy related facilities for FY 2023 in Hokkaido

Department of Economic Affairs of Hokkaido Prefecture compiled the approval status of project business plans concerning the program to subsidize new and renewable energy related facilities for FY 2023.

 

Of 19 approved projects, the department invested a project cost of 137 million Yen ($ 917,000) in the Shihoro Town Zero Carbon Mobility Introduction Project to install a 158.4-kW PV system at the former water purification plant site in the town for selfconsuming the generated electricity in a town office building and a community center that are connected with own electric lines, and to develop V2X by introducing three EVs and three charging and discharging facilities.

 

The department invested 163 million Yen ($ 1.09 million) in the Renewable Energy Wide-area Supply Project in the Kushiro Sports Park area to install carport-type PV systems through an onsite PPA model on the parking lots of Kushiro Town Comprehensive Gymnasium and the baseball field, and the generated electricity will be self-consumed in the gymnasium and elementary and junior high schools in the town that are connected with own electric lines.

The department also invested 426 million Yen ($ 2.85 million) in the Chippubetsu Town Regional Microgrid Development Project to develop PV systems, storage batteries, power receiving and transforming facilities, etc. for the Chippubetsu Hot Spring area, where several public facilities are situated close to each other, and to develop regional microgrids connecting them with nine public facilities via own electric lines.
