Japan Solar Update: No.94 (Apr 29 ~ May 3, 2023)
The government has set for the first time a target for the introduction of solar power generation for various types of municipal facilities.
The total target for facility-wide introduction in FY 2030 is 4.82 GW, with targets set for different types of facilities such as elementary and junior high schools at 1,331 MW, public housing at 440 MW, social and sports facilities at 327 MW, and administrative facilities at 188 MW.

In total it is aimed to introduce 6.0 GW in the public sector by FY 2030
A survey on roofs and walls suitable for the installation of PSCs at the facilities owned by ministries and agencies is planned to be conducted in FY 2024 Based on the survey results, targets for PCS will be considered.
