- The Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA) released the PV module shipment statistics for the quarter from January to March 2024, which has clarified the total PV module shipments in FY 2023 (April 2023 to March 2024)
- Total PV module shipments in FY 2023 increased by 15.7% year on year (YOY) to 5,909 MW, whereas domestic shipment also increased by 14.9% YOY to 5,843 MW

- By application, shipments for commercial applications, residential applications and utility-scale applications increased by 36.4% YOY to 1,991 MW, 8.7% YOY to 1,359 MW, and 5.0% to 2,492MW, respectively. Introduction of non-FIT PV systems through PPAs, support for residential PV systems and storage batteries by local governments, and development of large-scale FIT/FIP projects are progressing
- Domestic production and shipment of PV modules have continued to decline, and the ratio of imports increased to 94%
