Japan Solar Update: No.182 (Jan 5 ~ 9, 2026)
<Key points>
- The Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA) released the PV module shipment statistics for the quarter from July to September 2025
- Total module shipment was 1,656 MW, a 23% increase year on year (yoy), with the domestic shipment of 1,645 MW, a significant 23% increase yoy
- By application, the shipment for residential applications increased by 19% yoy to 420 MW and the shipment for commercial applications decreased by 8% yoy to 534 MW. The shipment for utility-scale applications largely increased by 73% yoy to 691 MW, with a substantial increase in installations via PPAs
