RTS Corporation released “Key points of renewable energy 2025 ～Photovoltaic Power expected to become Japan’s leading energy source” (Japanese report) on May 28, 2025.

This book compiles the key policy points related to solar power based on the government’s “GX 2040 Vision,” the “7th Strategic Energy Plan,” and the “Global Warming Countermeasures Plan.” In particular, with reference to the solar power share target of 23–29% in FY2040 set forth in the 7th Strategic Energy Plan, it outlines the government’s direction and concrete measures toward achieving this goal, organized by relevant ministries and local governments.
