- The Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA) released the PV module shipment statistics in the quarter from October to December 2022, and the annual shipments in 2022 were disclosed
- Total module shipments in 2022 decreased by 3% year on year (YOY) to 5,046 MW, and domestic shipments also decreased by 2% YOY to 5,027 MW.
- By application, shipments for utility-scale applications decreased by 10% YOY to 2,464 MW, and those for commercial applications decreased by 8% YOY to 1,353 MW, while those for residential applications increased by 28% YOY to 1,208 MW, reaching the same level as 2016
