Floating PV Systems completed and began operation of its first off-site corporate PPA project

Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Co., Ltd. completed and began operation of its first off-site corporate PPA project, the Izumisano City Nagataki No.1 and No.2 floating PV (FPV) PV systems, which are installed on three agricultural reservoirs in Nagataki, Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture. As the seventh PV project under its management, the company installed the FPV systems with PuKaTTo float system, which was developed inhouse. The output capacities are 923 kW for No.1 FPV system, which is installed on Kai-no-ike Pond, and 1,874-kW for No. 2 FPV system, which is installed on Honami-ike Pond and Ueda-ike Pond, (total output capacity: 2,797 kW). The project period is 25 years from June 2023, and all generated electricity will be sold to Izumisano Power Company.
